This workshop is exclusively for MA students at the Heidelberg Center Latin America – HCLA
When should I stop reading and start writing? How should a MA thesis be structured? What are its major constitutive sections? How do I write a literature review? Do I need a theoretical framework? This workshop aims to demystify the MA thesis as a genre of writing by giving you practical tools to get started, for making progress on your dissertation, and to get it done.
• Familiarize students with what a MA thesis is and expects from a student.
• Review and explore the constitutive parts and sections of a MA thesis (Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Analysis, and Conclusion)
• Analyze samples and excerpts to highlight “models of excellence” and exemplary elements of a well-structured MA thesis.
